Achievements of the ACHIEVE students, pt 2!

This week we are bringing back "Achievements of our ACHIEVE students" for part 2! We are so proud of everything the students have accomplished and want to share the good news with everyone.

Christian is one of our amazing Junior ACHIEVE students and this year, he has had the opportunity to participate in a research lab! The lab is called the Forensic Laboratory for Investigative Entomological Sciences and has insects like flies and tarantulas. Christian’s project in the lab is about leadership, so he has been interviewing people about leading. In February, Christian will present his project at a conference in Washington, DC! This opportunity is helping Christian with confidence, communication skills, and being friendly. We can’t wait to see how the project turns out!

Rayshaun is another one of our upperclassmen ACHIEVE students and loves basketball. This year, students in ACHIEVEMates were able to create an intramural basketball team, and Rayshaun gets to be a part of it! The season just started but Rayshaun really likes his team, which has some good players on it. His favorite part about this experience is being able to play with his friends. After the first game, Rayshaun thinks it will be a successful season. We are looking forward to celebrating the wins!

Hussein is a freshman ACHIEVE student and has already accomplished so much during his first semester! He is a part of the swim team club, where he has learned many new styles and techniques which will help him during competitions. Hussein is very dedicated to the swimming lifestyle and practices Monday through Thursday. He works very hard to accomplish new things every day! While he just joined the swim team club this year, he has been swimming since he was 2 years old. His favorite strokes are the breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. Hussein’s passion for swimming could even help him in the future by becoming a swim coach. Keep up the great work Hussein!

Ryan is one of our awesome officers and serves as the wellness chair! It gives him the opportunity to talk about living a healthy lifestyle. Ryan is a great leader and works hard to improve Aggie ACHIEVEMates by keeping members involved and active! He thinks it is incredibly important to stay consistent throughout the semester, in regards to staying healthy and to continue meeting with your ACHIEVEMates. This leadership position has helped Ryan improve himself while also developing closer friendships. Ryan says that he enjoys helping others because it is important to understand people and where they come from. Ryan is doing a great job and we love having him on the officer team!

That wraps it up for this week. Keep up the good work, we love seeing you guys do amazing things!
